Asana helps teams plan, organize, and track their work. With the Asana + FeatureOS integration, product managers and developers can finally connect customer feedback with task management in one seamless flow.

This powerful two-way integration allows you to create and link Asana tasks directly from FeatureOS, automatically push and pull tasks, and keep statuses synchronized across both platforms. You can access our help article here →

Note: The FeatureOS x Asana integration is available in Take Flight and Fly High plans.

Configuration Options

  1. Enable Automatic Push to Asana
    • Push posts automatically to Asana when their status changes.
    • Push immediately after submission, or only after moderation approval.
  2. Enable Automatic Pull from Asana
    • Automatically create posts in FeatureOS when tasks are created in Asana that match your conditions.
  3. Set Status Sync Rules
    • Sync statuses both ways:
      • When Asana tasks update, FeatureOS posts update too.
      • When FeatureOS posts change status, linked Asana tasks update.
    • Decide whether to notify subscribers and voters about these changes.

How Asana for FeatureOS Works

  • Create Asana Tasks from FeatureOS Push a post to Asana (one task per post). Edit the title/description, assign it, choose the project/section, tags, and even set a parent task. The Asana task will be created and linked back to the FeatureOS post.
  • Link Asana Tasks to FeatureOS Posts Link multiple tasks and subtasks to a single post by searching titles or descriptions in Asana.
  • Pull Tasks from Asana into FeatureOS If your configured pull rule matches, a new FeatureOS post will be automatically created when a task is added in Asana. Posts created this way are marked with Asana as the source.
  • Unlink Asana Tasks Simply click the unlink icon in FeatureOS to remove the association.

Why This Helps

  • Product managers: Bridge the gap between customer feedback and task execution.
  • Developers: Work directly from Asana while staying aligned with real customer needs.
  • Teams: Keep everyone in sync with two-way updates and fewer manual steps.
