Slack

Slack is where collaboration happens. With the Slack + FeatureOS integration, you can connect your feedback boards directly to your team’s Slack workspace. This means your team gets notified instantly about new feedback, discussions, or status changes, right inside the channels where you already work.

You can also create new FeatureOS posts from Slack shortcuts, ensuring that customer insights and ideas are captured even as you chat with your team.

Getting Started with Slack + FeatureOS

1. In FeatureOS: Go to Dashboard → Organization Settings → Integrations → Slack → Connect.
2. You’ll be redirected to Slack → sign in and choose the workspace you want to connect.
3. Select the Slack channel where notifications should be sent.
4. Click Allow to finish setup.

You’ll now see Slack listed in your FeatureOS integrations with the option to configure settings.

Configuring Slack Integration Settings

1. In FeatureOS: Go to Organization Settings → Integrations → Slack → Configure.
2. Choose which boards and events you want to receive notifications for.
   • Example: New posts, upvotes, comments, or status changes.
3. Save your configuration.

Creating a FeatureOS Post from Slack

• Use Slack’s Global Shortcut (⚡ icon in the message box).
• Select Create a post.
• Choose whether to post as yourself or on behalf of a customer/team member.
• Add title, description, and select the target board.
  • For private boards, you can only post on behalf of users already added as board members.
